Nordic Connections Celebrations at y Gaer, Brecon

This weekend we hosted 23 visitors from Iceland, Norway, Finland, Denmark and Sweden as part of our Nordic Connections exchange. This was the return leg of the exhibition which had its first showing at Nordic House in Reykjavik in 2017. Our guests were treated to a coach tour to The Big Pit, Caerphilly Castle, The National Museum of Wales, a reception at the Guild Hall in Brecon as well as time well spent in Brecon. We were entertained on Friday night by the Aberhonddu & District Male Voice Choir who roused us with 6 pieces, emotionally performed.

Saturday evening saw numerous guests attend the exhibition at y Gaer, they were welcomed by Nigel Blackamore (y Gaer Curator), Robert Macdonald (President RWSW) and William Gibb (Chair of The Brecknock Art Trust), Marianne Gross President of The Nordic Watercolour Society also gave her thanks.

Everyone also ate well in Brecon and we'd like to thank Gurkha Corner, The Brecon Tap and The Cafe for their superb hospitality.
