I live in an old Welsh Longhouse on the side of a valley in Pennant, Mid Wales. We moved here just over four years ago from Staffordshire, where I sold my paintings through galleries and exhibitions.

 

The Roaches in the Staffordshire Moorlands was only half an hours drive away, and is where I gained experience of trying to capture nature in all of her moods. The rugged landscape there is not unlike the Cambrian mountains. The same feeling of isolation and being part of something special. In my paintings and sketches I try to portray what I feel at the time. Not always easy when the wind and the rain is tearing at the sketchpad but well worth the effort.
