Tony Douglas-Jones
Tony Douglas-Jones has been painting for almost 50 years, initially in oils for 30 years and in watercolour for the last 20 years.
Growing up in Penarth, Tony was exposed not only to the atmospheric moods of the Bristol Channel but also to East Moors steelworks in Cardiff where his father worked.

Over the last twenty years he has returned frequently to the shifting effects of light and atmosphere on the sea and sky and beach particularly in Gower as a source of inspiration.

Recent work has focused on Port Talbot where he finds beauty in the massive plant which is always changing releasing clouds of steam and smoke which wreath and obscure the structures creating movement and mystery.
