I’m very involved with natural forms eg. plants and trees, rocks, sea, water in lakes and waterfalls, the sun and the moon, all of which portray form with movement and space and all the natural energy of nature.
Pembrokeshire provides me with a great deal of inspiration, particularly the coast line, as I'm especially interested in water – its movement and changing colours.

Having been born in Hong Kong and studied at the Slade School of Fine Art, London, I like to exploit the Chinese traditional use of the brush and the oriental use of space combined with a Western individual interpretation of form, light and colour.

 

Won various prizes at the Slade School of Fine Art, London, including the Summer Competition and the Young Contemporaries, and was awarded the Boise Travelling Scholarship to Italy and Paris.
 

I have exhibited widely in solo shows in the U.K. (e.g. Wolfson College, Oxford; Ashmolean Museum, Oxford) and  also in solo shows overseas including in Kuwait, U.S.A., Hong Kong and Istanbul.

 

In 2015 (from March to September) two of my paintings were included in an exhibition at the Ashmolean Museum entitled "From Palace to Studio: Chinese Women Painters from 1900 to the Present".

 

My paintings are to be found in various Public Collections, e.g. Ashmolean Museum, Oxford; Wolfson College, Oxford; The Slade School, University College London; City University, London, and Hong Kong Museum, and in various Private Collections including those of John Piper and Professor Michael Sullivan - the latter collection now held by the Ashmolean Museum.
